My sisters house is near the Organ Mountains. You can see part of them from her yard. We took several quick trips to view them when we thought we could get some decent photos. On this evening the clouds were perfect for photographing. This is the western side of the mountains as it is seen from Las Cruces. These mountains are very rugged and you need to be in good shape if you want to go hiking in them. Because of this we didn't do much hiking mostly looking from the dirt roads that are at the base of the mountains.
