Azalea and My Yard

My azalea is really pretty. And I got Ziva to poss beside of it.

Then she smelled a tulip. She didn't say if it smelled good or not.

Even the barberry has outdone it's self this spring. Or I think this bush is a barberry. I never had one before. The flowers are pale yellow against the dark red leaves and are really tiny.

Dogwood Trees

I don't remember the dogwoods being this beautiful the other three springs, (of course most of them froze last spring when we had a late freeze) we have been here in Kentucky. Wish we had one in our yard. Would think of planting one but at our ages we would never get to see it get this big. So we just drive around and admire all the ones in peoples yards and these that we saw on a drive across Butler State Park yesterday.

We didn't realize there were so many wild dogwoods scattered through all the wooded areas around here.

I cut some flowers off of a friends tree, (with permission) and then took some closeups of the flowers against a black window pane.

Pink Dogwood Trees

We took a drive through town a few days ago and saw dozens of white and pink dogwood trees in full bloom. They were beautiful. A few were in private yards but right on  the street so I took a few shots
ts and hope no one minds. They were so pretty I had to take photos of them.

And there was a really pretty one on the grounds in front of the Carrol County Courthouse.

White Dogwood Trees

First photos are of a wild dogwood tree near my property. The last two photos are of a couple of dogwood trees I saw in town the other day.
