Cold Night

From Capitan we were headed back west to see some more sights when the sun got really bright shining in the windshield of the motor home. With permission from the owner we spent the night beside this old barn. We watched the full moon come up and a herd of eight mule deer does and fawns came out down out of the nearby forest to visit with the resident horses. Maybe looking for a few stray bits of hay.

Our phones said it was only supposed to get down to about 40 degrees that night which sounded good after having to run the air conditioner the past two nights at White's City after visiting Carlsbad Caverns. We were a bit surprised to wake up to only 25 degrees and turned on the heater to get warm. It may have been cold but it was a beautiful morning.
