Toadstool Time

For what ever reason we had about 3 days when we had all kinds of toadstools pop up in our lawn. Or maybe they are mushrooms. But I don't think so. And I treet all of these kinds of plants as if they are poison toadstools. Cute they may be but I'm not about to even touch one if I don't have to. We had some that were about 10 inches across and some that were less than a inch.

I swear this one looks like a piece of raw liver.

This one was only about an inch or so but a beautiful pink color.

Most of them that any kind of a bowl to them had water in them the morning I was taking photos. The lower photo shows the smallest ones I saw. The last photo shows a close up of the tiny ones and it looks like a little button. 

 This last one looks as if some thing had stepped on it. Maybe a deer or raccoon.

Fog

I would have never guessed we would have so much fog here. Ziva and I went out for an early morning walk recently while it was still foggy. Everything looked so different. And it was really quiet. without a breath of wind. It was so still it was almost spooky or like a fantasy world. But it wasn't as foggy when we got back under some of the bigger trees away from the fields. 

Bill Board

One morning last week we noticed a lot of big trucks and equipment out in the soy bean field next to us right up against the freeway. We had no idea what they were doing. That day they raised the big black pipe in the center of the first photo and set it with 3 truck loads of concrete. And left it overnight. I didn't get any photos of that. By the time we realized they were at it again the next day they already had the huge metal cage around the big pipe. 

I didn't get any photos of them when they first pulled it up, but here is a photo of the crane still holding it in place. By now we had decided it had to be a billboard.

The next day there was a sign on it. They must have done it very early in the morning as we didn't see that either. It says rent me with a phone number

We went to the store and could see if from the freeway. Will be interesting how long it is before some one rents it for an advertisement. It has made a different in our view out that way but not as bad as I expected.
