Fall Leaves at Our House
Here are some photos of the fall leaves in our yard and close by. They are just as nice, if not better, than what we have seen on our drives to different places in past few weeks.
wish I could figure out what this red bush is. There are several around here. We have the great big one but I like the smaller one that is in some of the other photos. In spring it has white flowers and then is green all summer and this nice pink-red in fall with tiny red berries. But nothing eats the berries.

Fall Trees
A photo of the South Branch of the Potomac River that runs right through Petersburg, WV.
Golden Rod. The Photo was taken in WV but golden rod is the state flower of Kentucky.
A different yellow flower, name unknown
roses are everywhere here. We had to fight to keep them alive in NM. Guess I will have to get some when we have our own place.
It was a bit disappointing that the trees hadn't turned much on our trip. Here are a few I saw in the Monogahela National Forest which is near Petersburg, WV
the red leaves are mostly on the sugar maples
